5-user scenario: what you'd actually pay per month

Cannon VoIP

Spectrum Business
~$100 to $175/month plus taxes and fees
The feature match is Business Connect with Spectrum Business Internet: 5 lines at the Premier internet rate of $20 is $100 in year one, $150 in year two and $175 from year three on. Call screening & 911
Call screening shows each caller's name and reason word for word as they speak, before you answer, and AI screening rules send calls you never want to voicemail without ringing. A 911 address is registered on each number and checked with 911 systems, each building can be a 911 site, 911 calls from the mobile app send the phone's location, and people you choose are alerted when anyone dials 911.
Free Call Guard on Business Voice blocks malicious robocalls and labels suspected spam. Connect filters robocalls with AI. Name-announce screening is not listed on Spectrum's site.
Connect your own AI assistant

Platform ownership
Our own apps, servers and switching, run from our facility in Fort Worth with two backup regions; customer data is stored only in the US and is never shared or sold; only three outside companies for voice and texting; most feature requests ship in under four weeks.
Owned by Charter Communications. Business Connect is provided by RingCentral and sold by Spectrum. Spectrum Business is unrelated to SpectrumVoIP, the Plano company with its own comparison page.
Hardware & BYOD
Bring your own desk phone if it's on our compatibility list, or get our VoIP-6 ($198, with 10% off at 25 phones and 15% off at 75) or an ATA adapter ($99). We never rent or lease equipment: phones and adapters are yours to keep, purchased outright. (The one exception is the optional VoIP-HYBRID-1 on-site server for large organizations, a managed appliance we own while our software is on it, with a $1 buyout.)
Spectrum sells Poly and Snom phones shipped preconfigured. Business Voice works with standard desk phones. Connect does not include phones and is not compatible with all desk phones.

Bottom line: Spectrum Business wins on year-one price for buyers who want Spectrum internet anyway, with no contract and free robocall blocking. After the promo the rates climb, Business Connect is RingCentral's service sold by Spectrum, and Cannon VoIP builds and runs its own system at one $34 price on any connection.
